There’s something about Mark Ruffalo. He can play both the intellectual hipster love interest in a band T-shirt and the townie down-on-his-luck cop. I think it’s the combo black glasses + chest hair. Powers of Adam Scott/Paul Rudd + Mark Wahlberg/Casey Affleck combined. He’s like Nick Miller with more gravitas.
